The Macbook Turns Aluminium
Today at an event at Apple headquarters, Apple announced two new MacBook models which will be carved from 2.5 pound blocks of aluminum, have better graphics, a glass screen and glass multi-touch trackpads.
Rumors have been flooding the web about this new “brick” being carved from a lump of metal. But the end product is a lusciously thin and beautiful product.
“Apple has invented a wole new way of building notebooks from a single block of aluminium. And, just as important, they are the industrys greenest notebooks” said Steve Jobs, Apples CEO.
“The new MacBooks offer incredible features our users will love - like their stunning all metal designs, great 3D graphics and LED backlit displays - at prices upto $700 less than before”

“Traditioanaly notebooks are made from multiple parts. With the new MacBook we’ve replaced all of theose parts with just one part - the unibody” said Jonathan Ive, Apples Vice President of Industrial Design.
“The Macbook’s unibody enclosiour makes the new MacBook fundamentaly thinner, stronger an more robust with a fit and finsih that we’ve never even dreamed of before.”
The new glass trackpad gives users nearly 40% more tracking area than before. This makes it easier to use the multi-touch gestures such as the pinch and rotate gestures. The new trackpad is also a button allowing the users to click anywhere on the trackpad.
The graphics are improved on the new models. The Macbook features the new NVIDIA GeForce 9400M. This is a revolutionary new 3D graphics processor which delivers 5 times the 3D graphics as the previous MacBooks.
The new all glass screen has a LED blacklit display which users 30% less energry than previous models.
